DJ V is known as the social dancers’ DJ. Originally from Ireland and now based in Greece, she is a passionate social dancer herself, so when she’s not behind the DJ booth, you’ll usually find her on the dance floor.
She has been DJing at salsa events across Europe, always striving to create cohesive, energetic sets that blend music from different eras and styles into an unforgettable social dance experience. Her philosophy is simple: great music should inspire people to forget about everything else and just dance.
Every month, she hosts Alegría on World Salsa Radio, where she shares a carefully curated selection of both timeless classics and hidden gems. Alongside the music, she introduces listeners to the artists behind the songs, their stories, and the rich history of salsa, making each episode both entertaining and educational.
Beyond the DJ booth, DJ V has built a growing Instagram community through educational reels dedicated to salsa music, timing and musicality—topics she has been fascinated by for years and continues to study with the curiosity of a lifelong student. She loves helping dancers discover the music behind the movement and develop a deeper connection with what they hear on the dance floor.
Her background is in pharmacy, a profession that has taken her to work in four different countries. Together with her DJing, it has allowed her to travel extensively, meet people from all over the world, and experience the incredible diversity of the international salsa community. She also speaks six languages—so if you meet her during the event, feel free to say hello in your own language… you might be surprised if she answers!
This will be her third visit to Warsaw, although it has been many years since her last one. She’s thrilled to be back and especially excited to be part of the very first edition of this event. She can’t wait to meet everyone, share the music, and, of course, spend plenty of time on the dance floor!
